About Kumara Yoga
Born from a love of authentic yoga and the beauty of the Aegean, Kumara has been transforming lives in Bodrum since 2018.
Where the Journey Began
Kumara Yoga Center was founded in 2018 by Elena Vasquez and Arjun Mehra — two passionate yoga teachers who met during a teacher training in Rishikesh and shared a dream of creating a genuine yoga sanctuary by the Mediterranean Sea.
They chose Bodrum for its extraordinary natural beauty, its cosmopolitan community and its long tradition of welcoming wellness seekers. The name Kumara — meaning "youthful prince" in Sanskrit — captures the spirit of perpetual renewal and the beginner's mind that yoga cultivates.
What began as a small studio with two instructors and a handful of classes has grown into Bodrum's leading yoga centre, with a team of eight certified teachers, 12 class types and a community of over 800 active students from more than 40 countries.
Our 340 m² studio occupies a beautifully renovated historic building on the Neyzen Tevfik waterfront promenade, featuring panoramic sea views, natural stone and timber finishes, and a rooftop terrace for outdoor practice.
